Role: Product Designer
Goal: Lead the team in creating AnoniMe, fostering a user-friendly experience that empowers individuals to share thoughts and engage anonymously, cultivating a judgment-free space for open dialogue across Brazil.
Challenge: Companies were interested in the idea of an app for chatting during events and conferences, in a private and anonymous manner. Students from two Universities also showed interest in an anonymous chat on the university campus, to share photos and facts. There was no easy and fun way to engage in anonymous conversations and be invited to private groups. Our team looked to solve these and other challenges.
Action: I began this work by defining our strategy and key features for the initial product launch. My approach is always bringing an UserFlow first, to gather all possible points of navigation. Then, I created a unique design system, so the team could develop efficiently the many features for both iOS and Android. I led the team through execution under high-resolution prototypes, and the team delivered a stellar experience within 6 months to ship AnoniMe in Brazil.
Result: AnoniMe was public launched in February 2023. Overall the product was well received by people and media. In July, the team dropped a second big update, bringing many more features, like anonymous groups and photo sharing, having companies using the app during events and conferences. Also, the team was invited to be part of Tecnopuc, an innovation ecosystem that stimulates research, innovation and development bringing together academia, private institutions and government in Brazil.
Work performed: Design Leadership, Design Strategy and Design Planning.
